Today marks the 44th anniversary of the Beatles last live concert at Candlestick Park in San Francisco on August 29, 1966. The Beatles' performance lasted only 33 minutes due to technical problems.

The stage was located behind 2nd base and the weather was cold and foggy. The concert sold only 25,000 tickets to Candlestick Park which held 42,500 people. The concert was a financial loss and turned out to be their last live performance other than the impromptu performance on the roof of their recording studio in 1969.
