Ventured into the bowels of the City of Los Angeles to attend a rally of support for the union workers in Wisconsin Saturday morning. After a night of rain, the day turned out mostly clear with temps in the 50's. The rally was held in conjunction with rallies held in the capital cities of all 50 states and other major cities. So in essence, I was part of the voice of thousands of other American citizens voicing their support for unions and the American middle class.

The rally attracted about 1,000 people and had about a dozen speakers including a couple of city councilmen and State Rep. Chu.

Lots of union workers were there with a strong showing from the Teamsters.

The local media made an appearance, and could be seen wondering thru the crowd with cameras. Maybe I'll be on the telle this evening!!!

We were well protected with cops watching over us from the walk way above and another couple of units at the curb on 1st St. Plus the P.D. is across the street.

Several of the signs were addressed towards the Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.
