I once owned a pair of ice skates that probably looked a lot like this. When I lived in Minnesota I used to ice skate and play hockey on a lake in the town I lived in. The lake would freeze so hard that you could drive a car on it. A portion of the lake was sectioned off for ice skating and there was a small shack with a heater in it that we could go into and warm up. I can still remember the sound and smell of our cotton mittens on the heater melting the ice from them. I don't know if I would still be able to skate today after spraining my ankles so many times. My son Josh goes ice skating. I should go with him one day and give it a try. What's a few bumps and bruises.
