Prior to the game, as the San Francisco Chronicle’s Ann Killion
reported, Buffalo fans “were attacking” him, “with shouts of ‘Get the
Muslim,’” while some heady “entrepreneurs were selling T-shirts
depicting Kaepernick in the crosshairs of a rifle scope with the words:
Wanted: Notorious Disgrace to America.” Other T-shirts read “Shut up and
Stand up Kaeperdick.” There were also a group of at least 100 fans that
“knelt outside the stadium while the anthem played inside, in support
of his message.” And, after the game – in which the 49ers were trounced
45-16 – a handful of Bills players lined up to greet Kaepernick at
midfield.
