McCain circling the drain

Over the last week Senator McCain and Governor Palin have been attacking Barack Obama for his association with former weatherman Bill Ayers. Crowds at their rallies have been heard calling Obama a terrorist and in one case yelled bomb Obama.

Friday in Minnesota the lady shown in this photo told Senator McCain that she couldn't trust Obama and that he was an "Arab". Senator McCain came to Obama's defense stating "No, ma'am. No, ma'am. He's a decent, family man, citizen that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues and that's what this campaign is all about."

Later Senator McCain told his audience, ""He is a decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared about as President of the United States". He then added, "If I didn't think I would be one heck of a better president I wouldn't be running." This brought some boos from the crowd.

Could it be that Senator McCain is responding to complaints from both democrats and republicans like Bob Schrum who asked, "have you no decency left?" I think Troopergate and his succumbing to his campaign strategists negative ads and live slams has signed the death warrant for his campaign.
