Prop 8 behind in polls

According to the latest polls Prop 8, the proposition to ban same sex marriages in California, is falling behind. In a Lake Search Research Poll, the supporters are ahead 47% to 43%.

In an Associated Press article out today the change in the tide is due in part to large contributions from the Mormon Church. The article states that members of the Mormon Church have given over $8.4 million to the passing of the proposition.

It just seems so sad that "the religious" among us would put so much effort into denying others equal rights to marry.
