Love One Another
She pressed her hands to those worn ancient pages,
Of the Book of Life, written down through the ages.
Secrets of a glorious world yet to be known,
Seeds of great knowledge as yet to be sown.
“Drink of my wisdom,” the tome seemed to whisper,
“I am not worthy,” she responded with a shiver.
“Oh but you are, you are worthy and more.
Read of my words and be changed evermore.”
She read the whole book then sat back in despair,
It’s so very simple, that no one will care.
“Love one another” written page after page,
In every language and from every age.
Love one another that old book did implore,
We’re all the same, nothing less, nothing more.
Love one another is the message quite clear,
Share the book’s message for everyone to hear.
