A Writer's Creed
Write your first line, it starts with just one.
Then add another, you know just for fun.
Finish the third line; you’re well on your way,
Drop in the fourth line; you’ve something to say.

Sharpen your pencil, now you’re ready to go,
Open your mind, let your ideas flow.
What are you thinking, or what breaks your heart?
What gives you goose bumps, or gives you a start?

Press pen to paper, and let the words flow,
Building momentum, how your message will grow.
Write what you mean, and mean what you write,
Empty your heart; bring your passions to light.

Fire up your computer, set the icons aglow,
Fingers on the keys, now you’re ready to go.
There’s plenty to question, and plenty to fight,
Line after line, let your words be your might.
