I rode my bike to the beach on Sunday. This first photo is on the ped bridge just before Imperial Hwy off of the 91 freeway.  It was clear, but a bit chilly.

This photo is looking east from the a fore mentioned bridge.  The river is in bloom with what ever those yellow flowers are.

Over the last couple of rides, I noticed a ticking noise coming from the area of my back tire.  On Sunday it started getting louder.  I stopped at the park at the 10 mile mark and looked some more for the origin of the noise.  Turns out my rear wheel was cracked and the ticking noise was from a loose spoke at the crack.  I turned around and rode back to Anaheim Stadium and had Karen come pick me up.  I wasn't sure it would last another 12 miles to the beach.

The following Monday I bought a new rear wheel at The Competitive Edge Cyclery on Foothill, east of Euclid in Upland.  I originally went to the store in Rancho but they didn't have a wheel that fit my bike.  They sent me to their Upland store.  The guy who runs the Rancho store has been very helpful to me on two occasions now and I recommend them for your bicycle needs.

I rode on Wednesday on my new rear wheel and had a nice ride, even though it was quite windy on the return leg of the ride.
