Saturday afternoon I was channel surfing when I came across this man, Donnie Swaggart, of "Donnie Swaggart Ministries" in Baton Rogue, LA.  (Does naming his ministry after himself say anything about his ego?)  He is the son of Pastor Jimmy Swaggart who got into trouble with prostitutes. 

Anyway, I watched him go through a sermon with all the screaming and pointing and hopping across the stage.  About half way through his sermon he began to point out that Catholic priests were guilty of child abuse for years without pointing out the similar number of pastors and youth pastors with the same problem in the protestant world.  ( I used to follow a website that monitored case after case of pastors and youth pastors arrested for child molesting. http://mojoey.blogspot.com/)

Anyway, he went on to say that the "gay agenda" was to get the law of the land changed to lower the age of consent for sex for children to as low as six years old, inferring that gays were pedophiles.  What a crock!!

But it's important to understand just what kind of ideas some of the religious extremists wrap their heads around.
