Earthquake damage

This is the type of damage from the earthquake yesterday shown on the local TV news reports. Video cameras from some stores show one large jolt and then things being thrown from the shelves.

I went for a bike ride a couple of hours after the earthquake and found this cement drain cracked where it wasn't cracked before. I especially don't remember seeing that large crack shown in the bottom photo before. While the photo doesn't show it very well, the section of cement furthest from you in the photo is raised about a quarter of an inch.
