Sounds like heroism to me

Monica Brown is the only the second woman to receive the Silver Star for bravery since World War II.

Private Monica Brown is an eighteen year old female in the Unite States Army. She's an Army medic assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division in Afghanistan.

Monica Brown says, "I was just doing my job".

On April 25, 2007, Pvt. Brown was assigned as a medic to a paratrooper unit that was ambushed in Paktika Province. The last Humvee in the convoy she was in hit a roadside bomb and then came under intense mortar and small arms fire. The explosion of the humvee seriously injured all five occupants in the vehicle.

Pvt. Brown grabbed her medical kit and ran to the burning Humvee under enemy fire and assisted the most critically wounded. While trying to assist the wounded, the fire fight continued around her and the burning Humvee began to fire off it's load of 40 millimeter grenades. Pvt. Brown shielded Specialist Smith's body with her own.

Pvt. Brown's supervisors say that she was instrumental in saving the lives of Specialists Smith and Spray.

"60 Minutes" did a story on Pvt. Brown and attempted to interview the two injured soldiers. Ironically, Spc. Smith and Spc. Spray refused to be interviewed. When pressed, Spc. Smith said flat out that "women have no business being on the front line". What a dick!!!
