I see where our beloved governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, is visiting Iraq to study military tactics.

According to the story in the Huffington Post, "Mr. Schwarzenegger said he wants to study counter-insurgency strategies developed by the U.S. Military when Iraq was on the brink of civil war, and bring them back to the mean streets of California, where criminal gangs rule entire neighborhoods, especially in larger cities."

What??? While the whole idea of him being there and studying military tactics seams ridiculous, what I want to know is if my tax dollars are paying for this boon doggle. California can't even afford to pay it's employees and he's running of to Iran???

What's wrong with this picture???

A little more digging and I found out that the governor's trip was financed by "an obscure non-profit group" called The California State Protocol Foundation. It is apparently financed by secret donors who then get a tax credit. Perhaps this is still a little stinky.
